TaleForge BETA Release
TaleForge BETA is now released!
Finally, after months of development, TaleForge is ready to be released. A lot has happened since the demo version and a lot has changed.
The library has been adjusted a bit. Areas like the book area or the lore area can be shown and hidden, depending on if you need it. If the size of the books is too small or too big for you, you can resize them in 3 different levels.
Adjustments have been made to the user interface to make it easier to use. This means that all buttons have been moved to a separate bar on the left side to separate them from the writing area. So the upper bar is only used for the writing area. Own handmade icons were made for the left side.
The right side with the notes and characters can now be hidden and shown.
You don't need characters? no problem! Just turn off the character window to have more space for the notes. This also works the other way around.
You also have the possibility to draft your story if you don't know in which chapter you want to put your draft. To do this, you can simply open a text draft below the writing area. This is visible in every chapter and gives you another area you can use for copying and pasting, or as a kind of scratch paper.
Characters can be opened in a separate window so that you can always have them open while writing your story and not forget what your character can do or how old he is.
Characters must be given a name if you want to have any for your story. Additionally you can add an age and notes for the character.
The chapter manager allows you to quickly and easily add, edit or delete new chapters. You can add a prologue, epilogue and even bonus chapters.
If you are writing a saga (a series of books) you can even manage your chapters for each book in the chapter manager without having to switch books and open the chapter manager every time.
When you are done with your book you can export it as a PDF file and send it to your friends or do whatever you want with it.
The following list now shows all the features you have when you purchase TaleForge:
- A library with all your books and sagas
- Create as many books and sagas as you want
- You can edit the books and sagas at any time
- Write down notes about each book directly in the program
- Don't lose track of your characters with the Character Manager
- Manage your chapters in a new chapter manager
- Don't like the default look? Just change it with a selection of themes!
- Export your story as PDF file
- 3 different languages (English, German, Spanish)
- A few settings (still under construction)
- Possibility to add text drafts (will not be saved!)
...and much more.
Please note that this is a BETA version and not all features are perfect yet.
There will be improvements for these functions in the future.
